Course Offerings

Ensemble Descriptions

The Robinson Choral Department offers a variety of choral ensembles for students in 7-12 grade.  There are non-auditioned and auditioned ensembles available for all students to grow, excel and enjoy the excitement of singing in a group.  All students are welcome regardless of prior experience.

Middle School

Middle School Beginning Chorus - This class if offered to students either as a semester or full year elective.  No audition is required to register for this class.  Students will learn about proper vocal technique, gain skills in music reading and vocabulary and participate in concert performances throughout the year.

Middle School Advanced Chorus (Middle School Singers) - This class is offered to students who have been accepted by completion of audition and demonstration of vocal skills.  This class will work on further development of sight-reading skills, vocal technique and performance skills.

High School

Beginning Chorus (Chorale) - This ensemble is designed for any HS student who is new to chorus in high school.  This class will focus on developing music reading skills and proper vocal technique.  No audition is required to register for this class.

Advanced Treble Chorus (Bella Voce) - This ensemble is for students who sing in the treble (higher range) who are ready for an advanced level ensemble.  This class will work on further development of musicianship skills and vocal technique.  A high level of dedication is expected of students who are placed into this ensemble.

Advanced Chorus (Robinson Singers) - This ensemble is for students who are able to demonstrate a strong proficiency in sight-reading and vocal technique.  This class will work on further development of musicianship skills and vocal technique.  A high level of dedication is expected of students who are placed into this ensemble.
